I like this painting because I like that it is red, black and cream white. i don’t like the colour black because it is very dark. I don’t like this painting because I don’t like the blue.

I don’t like the painting because I don’t think the illustrator has used enough colours. The painting looks like someone falling into a volcano and trying not to by hanging on and pushing to the sides or the blue at the bottom looks like the sea and the black looks like a cliff with someone digging their fingernails into try and stop themselves from falling. My other dislike was because I thought the colours were too dark.

The Four Friends by George Romney

This painting was made in 1796 by George Romeny. It is called The Four Friends. He makes his drawings dark not light. There is also a statue in the this picture next to a man drawing or writing in his notebook. I liked it because all of the people were looking different ways. George Romeny was born in 1734 in England, he lived down the road from Abbot Hall Art Gallery. His painting of the four friends made me feel like I’m sitting in a boat reading. This painting is over 200 years old! George Romney died in 1802, he was 68 when he died.

I like the painting because it is colourful and I like the people because they are decorated in the picture. I also like the frame because of the colour and I like the pictures because of the decorations they put on. And all these pictures are made by George Romeny and he was a good artist. George was born in 1734 he died in 1802.

I liked this picture because I think they were discussing something. This painting was painted in 1796 by George Romeny and he only lived down the road. George Romney was born in England in 1734. In the painting there were a diary and a statue.
